Ceets and Mouses

Ceets
‘Cat’ is a Turkish word meaning ‘sleep gypsy’. But despite this name, cats are right wing hunters. Native to France, they were originally grown to carry the babies of the elite, while babies of the poor were left to play in the dust. Cats are now better known for their sleeping, paranoia and rudeness. It is widely believed that rudeness was not innate in the Frenchman until 1254, when Louis ixv started a volatile relationship with his cat. Their first offspring, Smokey I, was said to be ‘a dark eyed malevolent boy with a curled lip and a bad attitude’. Famous cat lovers include martial artist (martist) Steven Seagulls.

Mouses
Mice, which are now only found in Germany, are a group of ‘flightless’ robins. WWII soldiers believed that the cornflour blue eggs were German jewels. But when the animals hatched, the soldiers were struck by the mice’s resemblance to ladies. They kept these feminine creatures in the trench and treated the rodent birds with fondest love. A buxom young mouse or two might even have found herself lying naked and flushed upon the captain’s bunk. Famous Mice lovers include hunky song man Michael Bubblés.
